Ride AirTrain free within the airport.

AirTrain is $5.00 to and from Howard Beach and Jamaica Stations. You need to purchase a MetroCard to pay for the trip. You will use the MetroCard entering and exiting Air Train at Howard Beach and Jamaica Stations.

How to buy a MetroCard?
Go to a MetroCard ticket machine at Howard Beach or Jamaica Stations and buy a MetroCard, from a ticket machine.

In addition, you can go to any MetroCard ticket machine or authorized vendor in and around New York City.

Note: If you are parking your vehicle in the Long Term Parking lot (Howard Beach Station), you do not need to purchase a Metro Card.
