The Port Authority owns approximately 19 acres of property in the western part of midtown Manhattan, the majority of which is located between 30th and 41st Streets and 9th and 10th Avenues. While most of this property is dedicated to providing access roadways to the Lincoln Tunnel, some parcels may be suitable for development either directly or through the construction of platforms over roadways. Other parcels may be a source of transferable development rights (TDRs) for neighboring properties.
