There are three major passenger Ship Cruise Terminals
in the Port of New York and New Jersey district.
The Manhattan Cruise Terminal, owned
by the City of New York and operated by Ports America, provides five 1,000-foot-long berths suitable
for servicing
the worlds largest cruise vessels at a convenient
location on the Hudson River only a few blocks west of
Times
Square in the heart of Manhattan. The terminal occupies
the West Side of 12th Avenue between 46th and 54th streets.
The
Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is located in the borough's
Red Hook section. The 182,000-square-foot, full-service
cruise terminal represents a $52 million investment in
the city’s
booming cruise sector, now the third-largest cruise market
in the U.S. The terminal also adds 330 new, permanent and
part-time jobs to the Brooklyn waterfront.
The Cape Liberty
