The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has accepted a grant under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. This funding will be administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). This grant is for $14,999,024, and it will be used to help fund a $296,300,000 Runway 13R-31L Rehabilitation project at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Grant: Rehabilitate and widen a portion of Runway 13R-31L.

Total ARRA Funding: $15,000,000
Pursuant to Section 1511 of the ARRA, the Executive Director of the Port Authority has made the required certifications to the FAA involving the use of this grant.
