As an airport operator, we have many responsibilities, including maintaining safe, orderly airports, keeping track of how many of you are using them, collecting rent from airlines and finding ways to pay for critical airport capital projects.

2000 - 2018 Monthly Traffic Report Archives![]()
To more accurately report AirTrain passengers for JFK, EWR, and the Region, the Monthly Traffic Reports have been retroactively adjusted to break out paid and on-airport (unpaid) passengers. These changes have been made in reports going back to January 2017, with an exception for on-airport (unpaid) EWR AirTrain passengers, which were not captured prior to June 2017. Therefore, the adjusted data is not comparable to data before these times.
Additionally, the “NJ Transit Port Authority Bus Terminal” row in the EWR report has been combined into the “Airport Coach Passengers” row. This reflects all Coach Bus passengers traveling in both directions between EWR and NYC, including connections onward to JFK and LGA.
The 2018 Airport Traffic Report has also been revised to reflect these adjustments.
