To & From JFK

Getting to and from JFK on AirTrain is fast and easy.  You can travel to and from Manhattan’s Penn Station on the Long Island Rail Road in about 35 minutes and to and from most parts of New York City on the subway in about an hour.

If you’re arriving at JFK, there are three AirTrain JFK routes that stop at every terminal: the All Terminals Route, the Howard Beach Route and the Jamaica Station Route. These routes can connect you to other routes as well as connections to the Long Island Rail Road and New York City subways and buses.

If you’re departing from JFK, there are two convenient locations where you can connect to AirTrain JFK: Jamaica Station and Howard Beach Station. Both are served by numerous connections to Long Island Rail Road trains, New York City subways and local buses.

All Terminals Route

Trains arrive approximately every ten minutes, taking about two minutes between stops.  

Howard Beach Route

This route begins and ends at Howard Beach Station with stops at Lefferts Boulevard, Federal Circle and all passenger terminals. The following connections are available at the Howard Beach Station:

  • NYC Subway: A Train
  • NYCT Bus: Q11
  • Long-Term Parking
  • JFK Airport
Jamaica Station Route

This route begins and ends at Jamaica Station with stops at Federal Circle and all passenger terminals. The following connections are available:

  • NYC Subway: E, J and Z trains at Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue Station
  • LIRR: Jamaica Station
  • NYC Bus: Q6, Q8, Q9, Q20A/B, Q24, Q25, Q30, Q31, Q34, Q40, Q41, Q43, Q44, Q54, Q56, Q60, Q65
Parking Locations

The All Terminals, Howard Beach and Jamaica Station routes stop at every terminal and can take you to the various parking locations, which are as follows:

  • Green Parking: Terminal 1, Terminal 2/3
  • Blue Parking: Terminal 4
  • Yellow Parking: Terminal 5/6
  • Orange Parking: Terminal 7
  • Red Parking: Terminal 8
Rental Cars, Airport Hotels and Cargo Area Shuttles

Rental Cars, Airport Hotels and Cargo Area Shuttles are located at the Federal Circle stop, which is on the Howard Beach and Jamaica Station routes.

Long-Term Parking A & B*, Employee Parking*, Valet Parking, Kiss & Fly, NYC Bus B15.

All are located at the Lefferts Boulevard Station on the Howard Beach Route.

Long Term Parking C*

Located at Howard Beach Station on the Howard Beach Route.
