NY-NJ Airports Expand Routes

Where will air passengers be traveling? New routes from the New York-New Jersey airports offer even more choices in time for the summer travel season:

  • New nonstop service from Newark Liberty to Munich, Germany has been launched by Continental.
  • Iceland Express, a new carrier to our airports, will be flying 757 equipment from Terminal B at Newark Liberty nonstop to Reykjavik, Iceland until August 31.
  • Delta has added nonstop service from JFK's Terminal 3 to Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden. Delta is the only carrier serving these destinations nonstop from JFK. The airline has also launched service three times a week on 763 equipment from JFK to Abuja, Nigeria.
  • At LaGuardia, Delta has launched hourly Shuttle service with 11 weekday flights to Chicago-O'Hare International.
  • American Airlines recently added several new nonstops from Terminal 8 at JFK: San Jose, Costa Rica; Madrid, Spain; Manchester, UK.
  • Aires, the latest foreign-flag carrier to add service to JFK,
    will offer daily nonstop service on 737 aircraft to Bogota, Colombia from Terminal 4 beginning June 25.
  • Air Jamaica will expand its summer service with three weekly flights to Nassau, Bahamas, flying 757 equipment from Terminal 4. Service begins July 1 and concludes September 5. On July 1, the airline will increase summer service from JFK with two daily flights to Montego Bay and three daily flights to Kingston, Jamaica.
  • From July 1 to September 5, Caribbean Airlines will increase summer capacity by offering 30 weekly flights between JFK and Trinidad and Tobago on 767 or 738 equipment.
