New Applicant Process

All applicants must contact their company Issuing Officer/Signatory Authority prior to completing or submitting an Airport Security ID Card application. Issuing Officers are familiar with the requirements to obtain an Airport Security ID Card and should be the applicant’s primary point of contact for all Airport Security ID Card needs.

Although the application process may differ slightly among PANYNJ airports, all airports share the same compliance requirements with the exception of Teterboro Airport.

Employee Procedure for Acquiring Airport Identification

  1. Complete the Secured Area Access Badge/Airfield Driver Application or the Non-Secured Area Access Airport Employee ID Badge Application form. Your application must be signed by an authorized company manager who will validate that training and an appropriate background check has been completed.
  2. Call airport operations and arrange for an appointment to process an I.D. badge.
  3. Upon arrival at the airport operations I.D. office, personnel will confirm your identity. You will need to present non-expired government issued photo identification along with your application.
