Renewal Applicant Process

An Airport Security ID Card when properly displayed, shows that the cardholder is permitted access to non-public, secure areas of the airport to perform their job duties.  For this reason, it is extremely important for airport employees to be aware of their Airport Security ID Card expiration date.  The renewal process is outlined below and should be started 30-60 days before the expiration of the employee’s Airport Security ID Card.

Employees must contact their company's Issuing Officer (IO) to complete an Identification Card Disposition Application Form PA3253A/10-17.

The Issuing Officer must ensure the applicant has:

  • Valid fingerprints on file with the Airport Security ID Office
  • Accurately completed the Identification Card Disposition Application and all other required forms
  • Two matching forms of valid/non-expired government issued identification
  • All required training certificates

With these in hand or on file with the Airport Security ID Office, the applicant is ready to go to the Airport Security ID Office to renew their Airport Security ID Card.

Please Note: Airport Security ID Cards expire at midnight/00:00 hours on the date of expiration on the front of the card
