Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley in Orange County, New York, Stewart International is just 60 miles north of New York City. Stewart has a variety of transportation options to the four East Coast states it serves – New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Travelers can choose from bus service on the Stewart Airport Express (direct to New York City), Short Line or Leprechaun bus lines, train service on Metro-North or Amtrak and private taxis or limousines.

Bus Service

Stewart Airport Express
Starting June 15, 2017, Coach USA’s Stewart Airport Express will offer fast, easy, convenient express bus service between Stewart International Airport and New York City. Tickets can be purchased online at www.stewartairportexpress.com or at Stewart International from the Coach USA ticket agent positioned near the Terminal Building exit to the bus pick-up area.

Due to high demand for Stewart Airport Express tickets, travelers are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance before arriving at Stewart International Airport.

Short Line
Coach USA’s Short Line Bus provides service throughout New York and to New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania and originates out of Newburgh Terminal
(15-minute car ride from Stewart International Airport).

A commuter service from Newburg Terminal makes daily trips to New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Hudson Lines offers direct link to Grand Central Terminal via Beacon Station.

Leprechaun Lines’ Newburgh Beacon Shuttle provides travelers a hassle-free and inexpensive way to access Beacon Station. The bus departs in front of the Terminal Building, operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:25 p.m. (last departing shuttle), costs $1 and must be paid to the driver in cash. During off-hours, taxi service is available to the station.

New Jersey

Port Jervis Line offers direct link to Hoboken, New Jersey via Salisbury Mills Station.

*Travelers with a preference for renting/hiring a car or in need of additional information about ground transportation options from Stewart International should visit the Welcome Center located near the terminal’s security checkpoint. The Customer Care Representatives (CCRs) that staff the center have extensive information about the region’s ground transportation as well as information about hotels and tourist points of interest.
