Lincoln Tunnel Planned Weekly Construction

LINCOLN TUNNEL ADVISES DRIVERS TO EXPECT GREATER CONGESTION THIS AFTERNOON AND THROUGH THE EVENING RUSH, DUE TO ONGOING NEWARK BAY EXTENSION REPAIR WORK

Date: Dec 28, 2017

As emergency repair work continues on the eastbound New Jersey Turnpike Extension, closed since yesterday between Exit 14 and 14A, travelers using the Lincoln Tunnel and Port Authority Bus Terminal during afternoon and evening commuting periods today should expect longer-than-normal wait times at the tunnel.

The Port Authority is urging travelers to factor additional time into their commutes, or find alternate means of travel, this afternoon and evening as a result of residual traffic from the emergency repair work, which began yesterday.
