Effective November 4, 2013, overdimensional and overweight trucks are prohibited from crossing the Bayonne Bridge at all times, until further notice. This change is necessary to accommodate ongoing Bayonne Bridge Navigational Clearance Project work.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey regulates the transportation of hazardous materials, vehicle lengths, widths, heights, and weights. The Port Authority also has operating requirements that may concern truckers using our tunnels and bridges. For additional information, please review the following documents before making your trip:
Operators of overweight or over-dimensional cargo, or to lead a convoy across the Bayonne Bridge, must contact the 24-hour Communications Desk at (718) 390-2502 prior to their trip for approval.

Violators are subject to summons and/or fine.
