Accessibility at the Terminal

We are always working to make the Port Authority Bus Terminal as convenient and accessible as possible.

Our new paging system operates over the terminal's loudspeakers and on scrolling message screens throughout the facility, making it even easier for travelers to locate their companions.

We provide a free wheelchair escort service for travelers who may have difficulty navigating their way through the facility. Simply dial “54” on any in-house telephone to request an escort.

Restaurants and restrooms at the Port Authority Bus Terminal are accessible, as are the hair salon, bank, pharmacy and other retail establishments.

Bus Line Accessibility

Although the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey operates the Port Authority Bus Terminal - the building itself - it does not operate any buses.

Please contact your bus carrier prior to traveling if you need any assistance in your travels.
