Minimum Wage Rules for Airport Workers

Proposed Amendment

On December 10, 2014, the Port Authority proposed an amendment to the Rules for Implementation of the Minimum Wage Policy for Non-Trade Labor Service Contracts for LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The proposed amendment is now available for a 60-day public comment period. This proposed amendment adds concession workers, including those working in food, beverage and retail at LGA, JFK and EWR, effective April 1, 2015. The amendment also clarifies the requirements for a contractors'/employers' ability to receive credit for a covered worker's receipt of tips as well as other clarifications.

Provide any and all comments to wagepolicy@panynj.gov by February 9, 2015.
