33rd Street Line Weekend Service Suspension

To accommodate new signal installation for federally mandated Positive Train Control and Communications Based Train Control, PATH’s weekend service to 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue PATH Stations will be suspended from August 6 through December 19, 2016, excluding major holidays.

Service will terminate on Saturday mornings at 12:10 a.m. and resume on Monday mornings at 5 a.m.

Weekday Train Service

PATH weekday schedules from Tuesday through Friday remain unchanged.

In addition to our website, all timetables, maps, and schedule information will be available in stations.

On weekends, regular weekend service will continue to be provided on the Newark to World Trade Center line and between Journal Square and Hoboken. Additionally, special weekend train service will operate directly between Hoboken and World Trade Center.

Friday nights/Saturday mornings

Journal Square - 33rd Street via Hoboken (JSQ-33 via HOB)

  • The last departure from Journal Square is 11:35 p.m., arriving at 33rd Street at 11:55 a.m.
  • The last departure from 33rd Street is 12:10 a.m., arriving at Journal Square at 12:37 a.m.

World Trade Center - Hoboken (WTC-HOB)

  • The first departure from World Trade Center is 12:10 a.m., arriving at Hoboken at 12:20 a.m.
  • The first departure from Hoboken is 12:30 a.m., arriving at World Trade Center at 12:40 a.m.

Monday mornings

Journal Square - 33rd Street via Hoboken (JSQ-33 via HOB)

  • The first departure from Journal Square is 4:50 a.m., arriving at 33rd Street at 5:17 a.m.
  • The first departure from 33rd Street is 5:25 a.m., arriving at Journal Square at 5:52 a.m.

World Trade Center - Hoboken (WTC-HOB)*

  • The last departure from World Trade Center is 4:50 a.m., arriving at Hoboken at 5:00 a.m.
  • The last departure from Hoboken is 4:35 a.m., arriving at World Trade Center at 4:45 a.m.

* On Monday mornings direct service between Hoboken and World Trade Center ends for a brief period of time. Normal weekday service resumes from World Trade Center at 5:58 a.m. and from Hoboken at 6:14 a.m.

Passengers wishing to travel between Hoboken and World Trade Center during these times will need to transfer at Grove Street for connecting service.

Weekend Shuttle Bus Service

A free PATH weekend shuttle bus service will operate between World Trade Center and 29th Street along Sixth and Seventh Avenues between 12 a.m. Saturdays and 5 a.m. Mondays.

Shuttle Bus Boarding Requirements

  • Traveling Uptown from WTC Station
    Passengers must show voucher to board uptown bus at WTC. Vouchers must be picked up from a PATH representative at WTC PATH station before exiting turnstiles.

  • Traveling Downtown to WTC Station
    Passengers must show shuttle bus voucher, SmartLink Card, or MetroCard to board bus downtown.

Service Schedule*

  • Approximately every 10 minutes from 7 a.m. 12 a.m.  
  • Approximately every 20-30 minutes from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Approximate travel time from Church and Warren streets to 29th Street and 6th Avenue is between 30‐35 minutes.  

* Frequency and estimated travel time are approximate due to the inability to predict NYC vehicular traffic conditions. We advise passengers to allow for additional travel time.

Uptown-bound Stops (on Sixth Avenue)

  • 125 Church Street -- Church Street and Warren Street (pick-up stop)
  • Minetta Playground -- West 3rd Street and Sixth Avenue (drop-off stop)
  • 546 Sixth Avenue -- West 15th Street and Sixth Avenue (drop-off stop)
  • 832 Sixth Avenue -- West 29th Street and Sixth Avenue (drop-off stop)

Downtown-bound Stops (on Seventh Avenue)

  • Fashion Institute of Technology -- West 28th Street and Seventh Avenue (pick-up stop)
  • 56 Seventh Avenue -- West 14th Street and Seventh Avenue (pick-up stop)
  • 84 Seventh Avenue South -- Barrow Street and Seventh Avenue South (pick-up stop)
  • 107 Church Street -- Church Street and Murray Street (drop-off stop)
