Harrison Station

PATH is in the process of replacing the 76-year-old Harrison Station in Harrison, NJ, with a reconstructed facility, featuring glass-and-steel design and fully modernized amenities. This $256 million project will feature new glass-enclosed, weather-protected station entrances; modern elevators, widened stairs, and escalator access to both platforms; and extended platforms to accommodate longer, 10-car trains on the Newark – WTC line. The new station is being constructed alongside a broader redevelopment plan put forth by the Town of Harrison, which includes mixed-use commercial and residential development, the Red Bull Arena soccer stadium, and enhanced public spaces. Reconstruction of Harrison Station will be incremental so that PATH riders can enjoy the benefits of the new amenities and design as they are available. The project is scheduled for completion in 2017.
