A Jersey City third grader captured top honors in PATH's annual holiday poster contest, and his artwork will be featured on board the rapid transit system's trains.

The winning poster, created by Fernando Amparo of P.S. 28, will be installed in a decorated PATH car at the Journal Square Transportation Center in Jersey City at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5. PATH Director/General Manager Michael P. DePallo and Jersey City Public School representatives will honor Amparo and the second and third place winners - Steven Santander, a seventh grader at Academy 1 School who captured the top prize the past two years, and Sabrina Santander, Steven's sister and a sixth grader at Academy 1 School.

The winning students and their families will receive tickets to the Madison Square Garden show "A Christmas Carol" and round-trip PATH QuickCards for their trip to and from New York City.

Prior to the poster installation, the Madison Square Garden singers will entertain customers in a car traveling from PATH's 33rd Street Station in Manhattan to the Journal Square Station.
