Port Authority Police will operate Driving While Intoxicated checkpoints at Hudson River crossings to help ensure that travelers enjoy a safe and happy Halloween.

Drivers using the Holland and Lincoln tunnels and the George Washington Bridge will be subject to inspection between 10 p.m. Friday, October 31, and 6 a.m. Saturday, November 1.

In addition to checking vehicles and drivers, police officers will distribute literature on the dangers of drinking and driving.
