TRAFFIC ADVISORY - OUTERBRIDGE CROSSING TO BE CLOSED SUNDAY MORNING FOR PORT AUTHORITY TRAINING EXERCISE

The Outerbridge Crossing will be closed in both directions on Sunday, October 3rd, between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. for a training exercise.

Motorists are advised to use the Goethals Bridge or other crossings between New York and New Jersey during this period of time.New Jersey Bound
Route 440 South will be closed at the entrance to the Outerbridge Crossing and detour signs will direct traffic onto Boscombe Avenue to Route 440 North towards the Goethals Bridge.

Staten Island Bound

Route 440 North will be closed at the Amboy Avenue exit in Perth Amboy. Detour signs will direct traffic onto Waltrous Avenue to Route 440 South towards the Goethals Bridge via the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike.
