The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will join with DHL to bring hundreds of Christmas trees to U.S. servicemen and women serving abroad.
WHO: Port Authority Deputy Executive Director Bill Baroni and representatives of DHL and Dee’s Nursery
WHAT: The Port Authority will join with DHL for its 8th year of Operation Holiday Cheer. DHL, along with Dees Nursery, provides hundreds of Christmas trees and thousands of holiday letters, menorahs, decorations and gifts for troops serving in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Bahrain. A speaking program at Dees Nursery will include the Port Authority’s Deputy Executive Director Bill Baroni. The Port Authority Police Department will lead the motorcade from Dee’s Nursery in Oceanside, N.Y. to JFK where the holiday shipment will be loaded onto a DHL 767 aircraft.
