Major Announcement Regarding Organization of Public Safety Department to Follow Board Meeting
Port Authority Commissioners today will consider sweeping reforms to non-represented employees’ compensation and benefit packages when it meets at 8:30 a.m. today. The full Board will review the recommended reforms when it convenes for its afternoon session beginning at 1 p.m.
In addition to the anticipated compensation and benefit reforms, the Port Authority will make a major announcement regarding its security operations and Public Safety Department during a press conference following the 1 p.m. public meeting. Former U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff will join the Authority’s leadership in making the announcement.
