Port Authority shuttle buses will bring passengers to and from JFK Airport’s Central Terminal Area throughout the drill
The Port Authority Police Department will conduct a safety training drill on AirTrain JFK’s Howard Beach line on Saturday morning, necessitating closure of that section of track from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. The drill will not otherwise affect airport operations or flight schedules. AirTrain service to and from Jamaica Terminal and AirTrain service in the Central Terminal Area will continue normal operations.
During the drill, the Port Authority will provide shuttle service at Howard Beach, Lefferts Boulevard, Federal Circle and at all airline terminals. Passengers wishing to travel to the terminals and/or long term/employee parking lots also will need to take the shuttle.
Route signage will appear on buses’ electronic signs. Wait times will be minimized by increasing bus service during peak travel hours. Additional customer care agents and other PA staff will be on duty to provide enhanced information for passengers during the outages.
