Seventy fourth-grade students from the Solomon Schechter School in Jericho, L.I., will present the Port Authority with special World Trade Center quilts they designed as a class project. The presentation will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, in the school’s auditorium.
The quilts, which contain the students’ depictions of what September 11 meant to them, will be presented to Ken Philmus, the Director of Tunnels, Bridges and Terminals for the Port Authority, and to Port Authority Police Capt. Kenneth Honig.
The Solomon Schechter School is located on Barbara Lane in Jericho.
