TRAVEL ADVISORY - NEW ADA-ACCESSIBLE ELEVATOR AND PLATFORM LIFT OPEN AT PATH GROVE STREET STATION

This morning, PATH began operating its new street-level elevator and a vertical platform lift (VPL) connecting the mezzanine level and platform of the Grove Street station, to better serve disabled PATH patrons and other customers in need of such services.

The elevator, located on the south side of Columbus Drive in Jersey City at the Grove Street intersection, takes PATH riders to the concourse area below ground, where they can switch to the VPL for a short ride to the PATH platform. The new elevators are ADA-accessible and will be operational on a 24-hour, seven-day basis.
