PATH RIDERS’ COUNCIL SEEKS CANDIDATES TO FILL CURRENT OPENINGS, SERVE AS INTERMEDIARY BETWEEN PATH AND THE PUBLIC

The PATH Riders’ Council (PRC) is seeking to fill six current vacancies on the 15-member volunteer council. Those interested in serving as a members have until 8 p.m. on September 29 to submit applications.

To apply for a position on the council, click on http://www.panynj.gov/path/prc-application.html. Candidates must be regular users of the system, live in the PATH service area and be at least 18 years of age.

Created in 2015, the PRC is a standing advisory group that meets regularly with PATH management throughout the year to ensure that riders have a voice in system designs, communications, and decisions that affect operations.

PRC members are drawn from a cross-section of geographic and demographic areas served by PATH. This year, the selection committee will be made up of PATH staffers and the current PRC chairman. The council has six scheduled meetings per year, falling every other month on the third Wednesday evening at PATH headquarters at Journal Square in Jersey City.
