Date: May 21, 2004

Three of four upper-level bridge lanes in each direction will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday. Traffic in the remaining lane in each direction will be stopped periodically for approximately 20 minutes at a time. All trucks will still be required to use the upper level at all times and may encounter delays. All automobiles should use the lower level. During the hours of construction, staffed lanes will be available on the lower level for cash paying automobile customers.
To avoid delays, New York-bound motorists should consider using the Lincoln Tunnel as an alternate route into Manhattan.
