MEDIA ADVISORY - PORT AUTHORITY, ACTING GOVERNOR CODEY, AREA OFFICIALS TO BREAK GROUND ON KEY SECTION OF HUDSON RIVER WATERFRONT WALKWAY IN JERSEY CITY

Port Authority Chairman Anthony R. Coscia will join Acting Governor Richard J. Codey, U.S. Rep. Bob Menendez, Hudson County Executive Thomas DeGise and area officials at a ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of a new section of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at 12:30 p.m.

The walkway can be accessed from the intersection of River Drive and Newport Parkway in Jersey City. The completion of this section of the walkway eventually will allow for the walkway to connect Hoboken to Jersey City’s Newport waterfront community.
