PORT AUTHORITY CELEBRATES TOURISM WEEK ON MAY 14 WITH UNVEILING OF AIRTRAIN JFK POSTER CONTEST WINNERS

Port Authority Executive Director Anthony E. Shorris will join New York City public school students, and city and school officials at AirTrain JFK’s Jamaica Terminal at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14, to unveil the winning students’ artwork in AirTrain JFK’s “What I Like About New York” poster contest. The unveiling is being held as part of National Tourism Week.
The winners, whose posters will be displayed aboard AirTrain through October, each will receive a $50 gift certificate toward the purchase of art supplies. In addition, their teachers each will receive a $200 gift certificate toward the purchase of classroom art supplies.
The winners are Anjila Boadnaraine, 5th grade, P.S. 178 (Jamaica Estates); Cierra Cherry, 5th grade, P.S. 134 (Hollis); Emily Chow, 7th grade, MS 158 (Bayside); Mary Anne Ines, 6th grade, MS 210 (Ozone Park); Sol Lee, 8th grade, MS 158; Willie Pan, 7th grade, MS 158; and Catherine Yang, 6th grade, MS 158.
