Press Release Number: 2-2010
The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey will honor the New York Jets as they prepare to participate in this Sunday's AFC Championship Game by lighting a portion of the John F. Kennedy International Airport control tower in Jets Green.
Beginning tonight, airport travelers and local residents will find the exterior of the New York-JFK air traffic control tower adorned in green lights.
In October, the Port Authority, in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, participated in a kick-off event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by bathing the air traffic control tower in pink.
Media interested in filming the commemorative air traffic control tower will be directed to the Red Parking Lot across from the American Airlines Terminal at JFK. Please contact the Port Authority Media Relations Office at 212-435-7777 for clearance.
