PORT AUTHORITY POLICE HOCKEY TEAM CHALLENGES N.Y. ISLANDERS ALUMNI IN BENEFIT GAME AT NASSAU COLISEUM

Proceeds Will Go to the Families of Port Authority Police Officers Killed In the September 11 Terrorist Attacks

On Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m., the Port Authority Police Ice Hockey Team will face off against New York Islanders alumni in a benefit game at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. Prior to the game, the team will retire the jersey of Port Authority Police Officer George Howard, a member of the team who was killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center.

\"This game helps keep alive the memory of our fallen police officers and commanders,\" said Port Authority Police Lt. Nicholas Tagarelli. \"It also gives us an opportunity to help out their families.\"

The game will feature Islanders alumni Chico Resch, Bob Nystrom, Clarke Gilles, John Tonnelli, Gary Howat, Gord Lane, Jim Pavese, Jean Potvin, Gerald Didick, Gary Hart, Brian Mullen and Richie Hansen.

The $10 ticket price is tax deductible. Tickets are available at the Nassau Coliseum box office.
