TWO ADDITIONAL HOLLAND TUNNEL LANES TO REOPEN TO TRAFFIC AT 4 P.M. FRIDAY, APRIL 5

Two additional Manhattan-bound lanes of the Holland Tunnel will reopen to traffic beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, April 5, bringing to eight the total number of lanes available to travelers, the Port Authority announced today.

When the additional lanes open, four will be for E-ZPass customers and four will be for cash customers.

The far left lane, closest to the private warehouse in Jersey City that caught fire last week and necessitated Holland Tunnel restrictions, will remain closed while demolition continues.

Commuters wanting up-to-date information can call 800 221-9903, tune in to media traffic reports for the latest news, or consult the Port Authority’s Web site, www.panynj.gov.
