Flight operations have resumed at John F. Kennedy International Airport after Delta Flight 4100 from Toronto with 35 passengers skidded into a snowbank while turning onto a taxiway after landing safely on Runway 4R-22L. No injuries were reported.

Port Authority Police and emergency crews assisted passengers and towed the plane from the airfield following the incident, which occurred shortly after 8 a.m.

Operations staff have worked quickly to allow Runway 4R-22L and 4L-22R to reopen after the FAA approved its reopening. Crews continue to work to return the airport’s two other runways to operation as quickly as possible.

Travelers are strongly urged to confirm flight times, departures and arrivals with the airline carriers before traveling to the airports.
