Drill on Wednesday, October 7, will not impact operations at Newark Liberty International Airport

The Port Authority will conduct an emergency response exercise at AirTrain Newark stations on Wednesday, October 7, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. between the AirTrain P1 and P2 stations. The exercise is part of the agency's ongoing drills, which enable the Port Authority Police Department, agency personnel and other emergency responders to test and enhance response procedures.

The exercise will not affect flight operations at Newark Liberty International Airport, but the public may notice emergency vehicles during the drill. AirTrain stations, with the exception of the P1 station that typically handles parking overflow, will remain open and will continue to operate normally.
