TRAVEL ADVISORY - BAYONNE BRIDGE TO CLOSE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS FOR CONSTRUCTION, REMAIN OPEN SUNDAY FOR FIRST DAY OF HANUKKAH

The Port Authority announced today that the Bayonne Bridge will close Friday night and Saturday night, to accommodate ongoing construction work on the bridge project.

The bridge will remain open on Sunday, however, for the convenience of drivers as Hanukkah begins.

This weekend’s Bayonne Bridge closures are as follows:

  • The bridge will close Friday night, December 4, from 11:59 p.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday.
  • The bridge will close Saturday night, December 5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday.
  • The bridge will remain open on Sunday, December 6 – the first day of Hanukkah – from 5 a.m. on.

During the week, the bridge is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and overnight from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
