The Bayonne Bridge will close overnight Friday into Saturday morning, and then overnight Saturday into Sunday morning, to accommodate ongoing construction work on the bridge project. The closing was scheduled in conjunction with other regional agencies to minimize traffic impacts.

The weekend closure schedule is as follows:

- The Bayonne Bridge will close at 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 18 and reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday December 19.

- The bridge will close again at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, December 19 and reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday, December 20.

On Monday, December 21 and Tuesday, December 22, the bridge will follow its regular weekday schedule of closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, and overnight closures from 8:30 a.m. to 5 a.m.

When the bridge reopens at 5 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, it will remain open for the Christmas and New Year’s holiday period, and will not close again until 9 a.m. Monday, January 4.
