PORT AUTHORITY POLICE TO ACCEPT MEMORIAL QUILT
ON BEHALF OF LOST COLLEAGUES
AT THE FORMER WORLD TRADE CENTER SITE

A hand-crafted memorial quilt created in honor of the 37 Port Authority officers and commanders lost in the attacks on the World Trade Center will be presented to officials from the Port Authority Police Department at the former World Trade Center site on Friday, November 15, 2002, at 10:30 a.m.
The quilt, which measures 48 square feet, was crafted by 12 women working for eight months across five states as part of a group known as America’s 9-11 Memorial Quilts. The quilt includes photographs on fabric of all 37 officers and commanders, as well as intricate, hand-stitched designs that include the Port Authority Police Department shield.
