Vice President Richard B. Cheney will join New York Governor George E. Pataki and New Jersey Governor James E. McGreevey at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s Interfaith Remembrance Service at Riverside Church on Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 2 p.m. The service will honor the 84 Port Authority employees who were tragically killed on September 11, 2001, in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The memorial service will be broadcast live by New Jersey Public Television (NJN) for viewers in New Jersey, with a rebroadcast at 9 p.m. NY1 will broadcast the ceremony live in New York. New Jersey Network will uplink a clean feed of the service on satellite coordinates AMC 01 (KU band) Transponder 22 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Due to security issues and space limitations, pool arrangements have been established for broadcast and still cameras. Media wishing to cover the Interfaith Remembrance Service should bring photo identification as well as media credentials, and report to the press check-in table outside the church entrance at 91 Claremont Avenue near 120th Street.
