MEDIA ADVISORY - FORMER MARINE WHO SERVED IN IRAQ GRADUATES PORT AUTHORITY POLICE ACADEMY

On Wednesday, December 10, at 12 p.m., the Port Authority Police Department will hold a special graduation ceremony for recruit Triantafillos G. Lekkas, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom earlier this year.

Lekkas was serving in Iraq when his police class graduated in May. He will be accompanied by his family, soldiers from his unit and his Marine commander.

The ceremony will take place at the Port Authority Technical Center in the Physical Training Center, 3rd floor, located at 241 Erie Street, Jersey City.
