PRESS ADVISORY - AUGUST 14 CEREMONY HONORS PORT AUTHORITY OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR LOST ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

The Borough of Staten Island will hold a street dedication on Saturday, August 14 at 12 p.m. for Eugene J. Raggio, the former Operations Supervisor of the World Trade Department who was killed during the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Mr. Raggio helped to save countless lives during the evacuation of the World Trade Center and was one of 84 Port Authority employees who lost their lives that tragic day.

The dedication will take place on the southeast corner of Penn Avenue and 10th Street in the Oakwood section of Staten Island.
