Officials will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first scheduled flight at LaGuardia Airport by rededicating the newly restored Marine Air Terminal at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 2.
The event will take place 65 years to the day that a TWA DC-3 with a seating capacity of 32 passengers flew from Chicago to Queens, N.Y. – the first scheduled flight in the airport’s illustrious history.
