MEDIA ADVISORY - PORT AUTHORITY POLICE HERO FROM SEPTEMBER 11, 2001, TO BE HONORED BY LAKEWOOD BLUECLAWS BASEBALL TEAM

Port Authority Police Officer Richard Rodriguez, who was killed while responding to the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, will be honored on Tuesday, June 21, as part of Law Enforcement Night at First Energy Park, sponsored by the Lakewood BlueClaws baseball team. Officer Rodriguez’s wife, Cindy Rodriguez, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game, which begins at 7:05 p.m.

Members of the Port Authority Police Pipes & Drums and Honor Guard will also take part in the ceremony. First Energy Park is located at 2 Stadium Way, Lakewood, N.J. Media wishing to cover this event should contact the Port Authority and Lakewood BlueClaws.
