TRAVEL ADVISORY - AIRTRAIN NEWARK SERVICE TO BE PARTIALLY SUSPENDED OVERNIGHTS FOR MAINTENANCE; FREE BUS SERVICE WILL BE OFFERED

AirTrain Newark, the rail service that carries passengers between parking lots, rental car agencies, terminals and the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station on the Northeast Corridor line, will undergo scheduled maintenance on the section between Terminal A and Stations P1, P2 and P3, which are used to access parking lots P1 and P3, and the on- and off-airport rental car companies. To minimize inconvenience to customers, the work will be performed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesdays through Sundays, beginning Tuesday, August 30, weather permitting. The work is expected to be complete in six weeks.

The Port Authority will provide customers with free bus service between Terminal A and Stations P1, P2 and P3 while maintenance is performed. AirTrain service will continue to operate as normal between the passenger terminals, parking lot P4 and the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station. Full AirTrain Newark service will be available when work is not in progress.
