MEDIA ADVISORY - PORT AUTHORITY POLICE TO BE PROMOTED IN CEREMONY NOVEMBER 7

Twenty-three members of the Port Authority Police Department will be promoted on Monday, November 7. Two new assistant chiefs, two inspectors, one captain, two lieutenants, 14 sergeants and two detectives will be elevated to higher ranks within the bistate agency’s police force.
In addition to the promotions, the department will recognize and honor 39 recent graduates of its Emergency Services, Commercial Vehicle Inspection and K-9 units.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel, 128 Frontage Road in Newark, N.J., opposite Newark Liberty International Airport.
