Statement from the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey

“We're pleased passengers are seeing some relief from delays resulting from better weather and the efforts of the Port Authority to focus all stakeholders on addressing this problem.

“These most recent improvements aren't enough, but they do demonstrate that innovative approaches combined with the implementation of new technologies will alleviate delays without the FAA's plan to reduce flights through caps and raise ticket prices through auctions.

“We are committed to continuing to work toward real solutions that will help alleviate delays over the long-term -- expanding capacity, working with airlines to rationalize schedules and improving customer service. We urge the FAA to implement the 100 recommendations of the Port Authority Flight Delay Task Force.”
