Located just off the New Jersey Turnpike, the facility is also adjacent to the Port Newark/Elizabeth Marine Terminal Complex and Newark Liberty International Airport. Several years ago, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey recognized that these factors converge to create an ideal environment for retailers. As a result, the majority of land in the park has been sold to IKEA, a Swedish home furnishings retailer, which built and operates Elizabeth Center at 13A on the site. This retail center is anchored by IKEA's own 270,000-square foot retail store.
The remaining land owned by the Port Authority on the site includes a building that is leased to AFI Food Service for use as a distribution facility.
