If you’re traveling between New York and New Jersey in a truck or commercial vehicle, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the restrictions below. This includes the transportation of hazardous materials, vehicle lengths, widths, heights, and weights. Violators are subject to a summons and a fine.

Operators of convoys and oversize vehicles must arrange for an escort by contacting the Communications Desk of the bridge or tunnel they plan to use in advance of their trip. Call the bridge or tunnel’s 24-hour Communications Desk directly.

you will also be required to provide one copy each of the vehicle’s registration and the operator’s drivers license.
Beginning January 1, 2011, all Class 8 Drayage Trucks seeking entry onto any Port Authority Terminal must be registered in the Port Truck Pass registry.
