WORK CREWS AT ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER TO LIFT FIRST PIECE OF ICONIC SPIRE TO THE TOP OF BUILDING ON DECEMBER 12
|The first section of spire that will reside atop One World Trade Center is slated to be hoisted tomorrow morning after arriving today at Pier 25 in Lower Manhattan.
Nine of 18 sections of spire that traveled 1,500 nautical miles down the Atlantic seaboard from Valleyfield, Quebec, arrived in Port Newark, New Jersey over the Thanksgivingholiday. A barge transported the sections to Manhattan this morning in preparation for lifting the first pieces to the top of the 104-story building tomorrow morning.
