PORT AUTHORITY AMENDS CONTRACT TO ENHANCE SECURITY AT WORLD TRADE CENTER SITE
As part of its ongoing effort to enhance security at the World Trade Center site, the Port Authority today announced that it was adding the World Trade Center to a contract with Allied Barton Security Services – which currently provides unarmed security guard services to the agency's major airports. Security guard services at the World Trade Center site will be transitioned to Allied Barton in mid June. Allied Barton was originally selected to provide unarmed security services for the Port Authority in July 2013 after a competitive RFP process.
