Work recently began on one of the most critical World Trade Center projects that will ensure public access to the 9/11 Memorial Plaza on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 - the permanent support of the box that encloses the MTA's No. 1 subway line. The project will form the foundation of the future extension of Greenwich Street, which will bisect the World Trade Center site.

This highly complex project is being overseen by Port Authority Engineer Bob Petrides, who has dealt with other innovative construction projects during his career.

Bob will solicit your questions between November 17 and 23, and he'll provide answers to them on this Web site as a way of keeping you and others informed about what's going on today and what may be coming up in the future.
