Unprecedented Safety and Security

The World Trade Center Vehicle Security Center and Tour Bus Parking Facility (VSC) will provide as part of the comprehensive WTC area police and security plan for screening of buses, trucks, and cars entering the WTC site and its facilities.

 

VSC Construction Status

Overall Site

  • Total Excavation Complete – Over 150,000 CY
  • All Slurry Wall Work is Complete Creating “Bathtub” at the site
  • Slab on Grade has been placed in over half the area of the site

Western Portion of the Site

  • Over 3,500 Tons of Steel Erected
  • Concrete Superstructure Operations have launched

Eastern Portion of the Site

  • Rock Excavation Complete  – Over 13,000 CY
  • Over 30 footings and piers placed for foundation work
